Trackwork were awarded the contract to carry out track renewals & minor civils works at the new Doncaster IEP depot.

This project formed part of £5.7bn investment by the Department of Transport to purchase 122 no. new Intercity trains.

The new depot provides facilities for inspecting, repairing, cleaning, maintaining, re-fuelling and storage for Hitachi’s new fleet of Intercity Express Trains.

The scope of works included:

• Supply & install 3km Concrete Troughing + Cable Pulling
• Supply & install 1.5km Concrete Pavements
• Supply & installation of Steel Balustrade & Handrails
• Supply & install Fencing
• Supply & install 100m Ballast Boards
• Supply & install of DNO, OCS & Signal Farms
• Installation of 100 No. Bollard Bases
• Installation of Pedestrian Track Crossings
